Collection: Bandhani Styles
Bandhani is a tie-dye technique that dates back to the Indus Valley Civilization around 4000 B.C. in what is modern day Gujarat. The technique is done entirely by hand, through tying tight knots with thread in different areas, then using natural dyes to add colors to the fabric.
Once these knots are opened, they present a beautiful pattern between vibrant colors; today, the main artisans are the Khatri and Kutchhi communities of Gujarat.
Bandhani sarees are holy sarees and are said to bring good luck and fortune to the lives of newlywed couples.
